Hoping and Coping Small Group Meeting - Jane LaRoque

We recognize that some may wish to participate in a small group, but for one reason or another are not able to participate in a small group on Sunday mornings. For these folks, our own Jane LaRoque is interested in facilitating a group called “Hoping and Coping,” that could decide together when and where they’d like to meet during our Eastertide experiment. Here is Jane’s vision for the group: “There is so much going on in the country these days that it’s hard not to be overwhelmed. Changes in the way our country is governed, job transitions, cultural shifts, and increasingly longer lists of people and things to worry about can wear us out. Would you like to be part of a small group in which to voice your concerns, how you’re coping these days, and what you’re hoping for? We probably won’t solve the problems, but we can hope to find ways to cope with them. We’ll read and discuss brief articles by contemporary authors who have insights we might use. ‘Hope is like peace. It is not a gift from God. It is a gift only we can give one another.’ ~ Elie Wiesel.” Please use this form to let Jane know what time(s) are convenient for you, and whether you would prefer Zoom or in person.
