Little River UCC Celebrates LGBTQ+ People

On Sunday, October 20, please join us for a celebration of our Open and Affirming 23rd Anniversary! The Rev. Anne Holmes, the first openly lesbian person to be ordained in the UCC, who was part of our beloved community for decades, will be with us for worship and will be preaching. After worship, please join us in the social hall for a potluck lunch, in addition to our regular coffee hour treats. After we eat, you’re invited to join us for a showing of 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture, a documentary film that chronicles how the misuse of a single word changed the course of modern history: “What if the word ‘homosexual’ was never meant to be in the Bible? The mistranslation that shifted culture.”
