Program: Our Wonderful World

Program: Our Wonderful World

Saturday, April 15, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

All are invited and welcome! 9:30–10:15 a.m. for light breakfast. 10:30–11:30 a.m. for the program.

People of faith are called to be good stewards of the earth and all of its inhabitants. But what does being a “good steward” entail? How can we live in ways to acknowledge that “the earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it” (Psalm 24:1)? Through a time of reflection through readings, music, and discussion, we will look for inspiration that will lead to taking action to protect our precious planet.

Little River member Steve Wheelock will lead us in the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address, an indigenous prayer.

To attend the breakfast in the social hall, please register in person at the welcome desk or online through Sign-Up Genius: bit.ly/LR-WonderfulWorld. If you don’t get a chance to register, please join us anyway! The program will be hybrid, beginning at 10:30 a.m. If you plan to attend online, please look for the Zoom link to the program on Friday, April 14, in the Current Tidings. Contact us at WMT@lrucc.org before Wednesday, April 12, if child care is needed. We will do all that we can to meet this need.
