Seven Last Words

Sunday, March 26: This Sunday morning, our Sanctuary Choir will sing portions of composer Michael John Trotta's work. In 2016 Trotta set Jesus' words from the cross to a fresh musical setting, building on a tradition that dates back centuries and includes works by Haydn, Gounod, Franck, and Dubois. Accompanied by a small chamber ensemble of flute, oboe, horn, and piano, the choir will paint the English text with passages of intense fugal polyphony and equally poignant passes of long, unison tones. Please join us for this special musical treat! READ MORE.
