Torture Awareness Month: Letters

Sunday, June 21

Every June, human rights and faith organizations join together to mark Torture Awareness Month, commemorating the day in 1987 when the Convention Against Torture entered into force. As a supporter of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT), an organization with the mission of mobilizing people of faith to end torture in U.S. policy, practice and culture, we as a congregation can reflect upon the moral challenge to ensure the human rights and dignity of all.

Little River UCC will be joining with people of faith around the world in recognizing Torture Awareness Month. Please plan to join the Board of Outreach and Social Justice for an opportunity to learn more about NRCAT's work and to take action through a letter-writing campaign on Sunday, June 21.
