Our Sunday Experience
Time with Children
Each Sunday during the 9:30 worship service, all children age three and older begin the morning by joining the congregation in the sanctuary. The early part of the worship experience includes a special Time with Children when the children may come to the front of the sanctuary. After this, the children are encouraged to attend Church School with their friends. Some may wish stay in the sanctuary with their families. That’s okay, too!
Worship for all Ages
The first Sunday of each month, children join in the whole worship service. That service is adapted to meet the needs of all generations and is meant to enhance and expand the children’s experience and knowledge of the communal worship. The sacrament of Communion is served and children are welcome to receive the bread and cup at their families' discretion.
If the child prefers, a planned activity is organized during the sermon to enhance their experience. The leaders will help the children understand the meaning and actions of Communion. At parents’ request, the leaders will help the children to return in time to share in the cup and loaf.
11:00 Worship Time Activities
Care is available at 11:00 for children ages three to nine who do not wish to attend worship or whose parents attend meetings or class at that hour.
