Governance Board Meeting Update

On Wednesday night, October 11, the Governance Board met in Room 8. The agenda was broad, beginning with receiving updates from the Treasurer. The main focus of the meeting was on whether or not a capital campaign for Little River is on the horizon. Pastor David walked the Board through overviews of how capital campaigns work in churches, including sharing a resource from the Massachusetts Conference of the UCC which is available here: http://www.macucc.org/files/files/documentsstewardship/guide+to+capital+campaigns+july+2015- 2.pdf. The Board believes that we as a congregation need to do further discernment about God's will on this matter, and they invite your prayers for guidance from the Holy Spirit on this matter.

Stewardship Campaign: "Renewing Our Commitment"

The third and last mailing next week will provide a guide to giving, information about our church’s pattern of giving, and a pledge card to prepare and bring to worship on October 29.
